Network management, usually applied to big shell networks such as computer networks, telecommunication networks etc., refers to a maintenance and administration of such networks at the top level.
Network management is the execution of the placed of functions called upon for controlling, planning, allocating, deploying, coordinating, & monitoring the resources of a network.
This includes performing functions like initial network planning, frequency allocation, predetermined traffic routing to support load balancing, cryptographic key distribution authorization, configuration management, fault management, security management, performance management, and accounting management.
The prominent total of protocols survive to trend lines network & network device management. Most common protocols include SNMP, CMIP, WBEM, CIM, TL1 and JMX.
